CO2 and H2S Geologic Sequestration Analysis
Technology Summary
CO2 has often been injected into producing formations for enhanced oil recovery. Currently, there is increasing interest in injecting CO2 from industrial plants into either depleted reservoirs or aquifers for large-scale sequestration, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
H2S is also being considered for re-injection in several areas both as a pressure maintenance mechanism and as a disposal option.
Applying our extensive experience in gas storage mechanics, reservoir mechanics, and injection regulatory support, Terralog Technologies is currently active in several initiatives to investigate large-scale CO2 and H2S sequestration in North America, West Africa, and the Caspian region.
